Financial Analyst | Modine Manufacturing Company

The Tone:

This Financial Analyst position is instrumental in supporting these operations by managing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities and providing crucial analytical support, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and Modine’s financial controls and processes as the company continues to grow and innovate.

• Mission: To ensure accurate and compliant monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities and provide related analytical support.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft applications, Excel, Word, Outlook, SAP, HFM (Hyperion Financial Management)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Closing & Reporting: Complete all monthly and quarterly accounting close activities, accurately preparing and processing journal entries.
• Analysis & Reconciliation: Perform account reconciliations, conduct associated analysis and follow-up, and assist with trial balance variance reviews.
• Inventory Management: Manage inventory costing and valuation processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Documentation & Compliance: Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports, maintain work instructions and personal standard work documentation, and develop and maintain applicable policies and procedures.
• Audit & Process Improvement: Interface with internal and external auditors during quarterly reviews and the year-end audit, and actively participate in process improvement projects and activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, providing a solid foundation in financial principles and practices.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience within an accounting or finance function is required, with an emphasis on applying learned skills in a corporate setting.
• Skills: Demonstrated high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for data analysis, reporting, and communication; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve financial issues; and clear, concise communication skills to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Bonus: Proficiency in SAP and HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) software is preferred for managing financial data and reporting.
