Project Financial Analyst | Tetra Tech

This is an entry-level, full-time Project Financial Analyst role at Tetra Tech, primarily based in Helena, MT, with consideration for CA or CO locations. A hybrid work arrangement is possible, requiring residence within 30 miles of a local office. What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Lifecycle Management: Support financial activities throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial setup to closeout.
• Financial Analysis: Maintain and analyze project budgets, costs, revenue, and profitability to inform financial decisions.
• Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor project financial performance, identifying and reporting variances against budgeted results.
• Collaboration: Partner with project managers to review project status and financial risks, and work with the finance team for accurate reporting and timely month-end activities.
• Billing & Collections: Support monthly billing and collection efforts for an assigned portfolio of projects.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level position requiring an Associate degree or relevant coursework towards a Bachelor’s degree in business management, accounting, or a similar program.
• Experience: 0-3 years of project administration experience is preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas and pivot tables) and Word, strong organizational skills to manage multiple assignments, ability to analyze financial documents, and effective written and oral communication.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Oracle.
