The Tone:
This is a Senior Commercial Real Estate Paralegal position at a leading international law firm, located in New York, NY, operating on a hybrid schedule. Beacon Hill, a recognized leader in search, career placement, and flexible staffing, is seeking this professional on behalf of their client. The law firm focuses on supporting complex, high-value transactions, and this role is critical to ensuring the seamless execution of these deals and providing comprehensive support to attorneys and clients.

The TL;DR

• Mission: To support attorneys in all phases of complex, high-value commercial real estate transactions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Support: Provide comprehensive support to attorneys across all phases of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and finance matters.
• Due Diligence: Thoroughly review and analyze title commitments, surveys, and a wide range of due diligence materials pertinent to real estate transactions.
• Document Drafting: Prepare and draft essential transaction documents, such as purchase agreements, loan documents, and various closing materials.
• Closing Coordination: Expertly coordinate complex multi-party closings, encompassing the preparation of checklists, execution packages, and comprehensive closing binders.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as a primary point of contact to liaise directly with clients, lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel, ensuring smooth communication.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior-level professional with a proven background in commercial real estate paralegal work, specifically within a law firm setting, demonstrating strong capabilities in high-value transactions.
• Experience: Possess 7-10+ years of dedicated commercial real estate paralegal experience, mandatory within a law firm. This includes significant experience managing complex, multi-state closings, with an expectation to meet a 1600-hour billable requirement annually.
• Skills: Exhibit a strong and required background in title and survey review. Possess excellent communication skills, with a proactive approach to stakeholder management. Must be highly organized, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and possess the ability to effectively multitask across various complex projects.
• Bonus: Big law experience is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator who consistently keeps attorneys and stakeholders informed, a self-starter demonstrating strong ownership, sound judgment, and the ability to proactively anticipate deal needs.
