The Tone:
This is a hybrid position at The Maine Divorce Group, located in Kennebunk, ME. This role is crucial for supporting attorneys through various stages of family law cases, ensuring high-quality legal assistance and compassionate client service. The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
Case Coordination: Manage all scheduling requirements for court dates, client meetings, mediations, and critical case deadlines to ensure smooth progression.
Document Drafting: Prepare, draft, and format a variety of family law documents, including pleadings, motions, financial affidavits, and discovery requests/responses.
Discovery Management: Oversee the discovery process, which includes tracking deadlines, organizing document production, and maintaining detailed case summaries.
Client Communication: Engage with clients professionally and empathetically, addressing sensitive situations and de-escalating potential conflicts as needed.
Attorney Support: Provide comprehensive support to attorneys in preparing cases and executing legal strategy through organized documentation and follow-through.

The Must-Haves
Background: Bachelor’s degree. Completion of an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program or an Associate’s degree/proprietary school program in paralegal studies.
Experience: 2-3 years of experience working under an attorney, specifically within a family law firm.
Skills: Expertise with Mac Operating Systems and Google Suite, proficiency with CRM Database, strong legal research and legal writing skills, and excellent time-management and organizational abilities with discretion for confidential matters.
