Investment Banking Intern | LandIB
The Tone:
This is a remote, part-time internship at LandIB. LandIB is dedicated to empowering Chinese international students on their journey to Wall Street by providing a comprehensive, bilingual interview preparation platform. Founded by an ex-Goldman TMT banker from an Ivy League institution, now in private equity, LandIB is rapidly growing while building the essential tools its founders wished they had during their own recruitment processes. The platform offers expert-curated technical drills, mock interviews, resume analysis, and personalized story coaching to guide students from their initial application to securing a signed offer. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the quality and breadth of our educational content, directly influencing the success of hundreds of aspiring investment banking professionals. Your contributions will be central to helping students master the technical and behavioral aspects required for top-tier finance roles.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Content Curation: Expand and refine the technical interview question bank across core investment banking topics like accounting, valuation, DCF, LBO, M&A, and behavioral.
• Question Development: Create high-quality question and answer pairs that accurately reflect real investment banking interview scenarios.
• Quality Assurance: Audit AI-generated content to ensure accuracy, authentic banker voice, and realism for interview preparation.
• Model Answers: Develop model answers with precise calculations, clear reasoning, and appropriate judgment calls for various technical questions.
• Platform Enhancement: Contribute to the creation of new feature content, including financial modeling walkthroughs, deal analysis, and market news segments.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This role is suited for a current Undergraduate student who possesses a foundational understanding of the investment banking industry and its core principles.
• Experience: Candidates should demonstrate some prior experience or significant exposure to investment banking concepts, whether through coursework, previous internships, or dedicated self-study focused on interview preparation content.
• Skills: A strong and comprehensive grasp of technical interview content, encompassing accounting, valuation methodologies (like DCF and LBO), and financial modeling, is essential. The ability to identify mathematical discrepancies and ensure accuracy reflects the required attention to detail. Clear and precise written communication in English is critical for content creation, alongside bilingual proficiency in both English and Chinese. Familiarity with Excel and practical financial modeling skills are also required.
