What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Drafting: Draft routine correspondence and various legal documents accurately and efficiently for the Labor & Employment unit.
• Record Management: Collect, organize, and thoroughly review diverse records pertinent to ongoing cases and client matters.
• Discovery Support: Assist attorneys with all phases of the discovery process, ensuring compliance and effective information exchange.
• Trial Preparation: Provide comprehensive support for trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witnesses, and legal documents.
• File Oversight: Manage complex legal files, maintaining meticulous organization and accessibility throughout their lifecycle.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess either a Bachelor’s Degree or a Paralegal Certificate, with a foundational understanding relevant to the Labor & Employment legal domain.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience working as a paralegal, preferably within a legal firm environment.
• Skills: Exhibit excellent computer proficiency, specifically including the ability to effectively use Excel for complex data analysis, such as managing class or representative data and executing precise calculations. Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in all work products and possess superior abilities in both written and oral communication. The successful candidate will also be highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently in a professional setting.
• Bonus: Experience working with insurance companies and familiarity with their specific guidelines is preferred, along with familiarity using e-discovery software platforms.
