What You’ll Actually Do
• Portfolio Manager Liaison: Act as the primary and immediate point of contact for Portfolio Managers, addressing all inquiries related to trade activity, profit and loss (P&L), and other operational matters.
• Trade Lifecycle Management: Take ownership of the complete trade lifecycle process, encompassing accurate and timely trade booking, ensuring efficient settlements, and diligently resolving any trade breaks that may arise.
• Event Support and Coordination: Provide essential operational support for complex corporate actions and various listed derivatives events, ensuring their smooth execution and accurate processing.
• Operational Enhancement: Actively contribute to and support strategic process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the equities operations team.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates should possess professional experience acquired within a recognized financial institution. This includes prior roles at a hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank, or fund administrator.
• Experience: Demonstrated professional engagement within the operational or middle office functions of a financial services firm, specifically from the environments of a hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank, or fund administrator. No specific duration of experience is required, but prior exposure to these settings is essential.
• Skills: Solid foundational knowledge of various financial instruments is required, specifically including equities, equity options, futures, or swaps.
• Bonus: Experience contributing to automation efforts or leading process improvement initiatives would be a significant advantage in this role.
