Financial Analyst | Howard Energy Partners
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Howard Energy Partners. Howard Energy Partners manages domestic and international finance and treasury, supporting growth in the energy sector. This position plays a central role in providing critical financial analysis and strategic recommendations that inform executive decisions and support the company’s financial stability and growth initiatives.

• Tech Stack: Advanced Excel, Advanced PowerPoint, Intermediate familiarity with Planning/Data Analytics/Consolidation software.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing analysis and presentations for quarterly forecasts and annual budgets, communicating financial results and outlook to senior executives and the Board of Directors, including the preparation of Board presentations and Earnings Call materials.
• Model Management & Metrics: Maintain assigned corporate models monthly to ensure accuracy and consistency, and prepare, validate, and summarize various key reporting metrics for use by various HEP teams.
• Liquidity & Capital Analysis: Provide management with funding and liquidity analysis and recommendations regarding the strategy around long-term financial stability and capital for growth projects, including developing and maintaining cash flow projections and ensuring debt compliance.
• Strategic Transaction Support: Support financing initiatives central to HEP’s growth, such as equity and debt transactions, joint venture capital raises, and M&A, along with providing support for HEP’s (and its JVs) various credit agreements.
• Ad Hoc Analysis & Efficiency: Utilize critical thinking to develop and communicate ad hoc financial and business analysis, and assist with enhancing the finance department’s ability to utilize financial systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or economics, establishing a strong foundation in finance.
• Experience: 0-5 years of accounting or finance work experience, with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to build and dissect existing financial models.
• Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a strong ownership of deliverables.
• Bonus: A Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics, CPA or CFA certification, or prior experience at a top energy company or financial institution is a plus.
