Analyst, Business Valuation | Ryan

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at Ryan, a global tax services and software provider. This role supports the company’s valuation services, working with senior staff to prepare business valuation reports and analyses. The Analyst will play a key part in assisting with essential components of business valuation for tax reporting, ensuring accurate and compliant financial assessments.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Prepare business valuation reports and conduct business valuations for tax reporting purposes.
• Modeling: Create and work with financial models in Excel to support valuation analyses.
• Analysis: Perform benchmarking, analysis of financial statements, and economic analysis of companies, markets, and industries.
• Documentation: Draft and assist in the preparation of memos and reports detailing valuation findings.
• Client Support: Respond to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities regarding valuation matters.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business, or any Bachelor’s degree combined with highly relevant experience, with a strong academic record (minimum 2.8 GPA). A valid driver’s license is required.
• Experience: Up to 2 years of relevant work experience in a finance, accounting, or consulting role, including internships, summer positions, or school jobs.
• Skills: Very strong quantitative abilities in disciplines such as math, economics, accounting, or finance, along with a high degree of comfort with Excel.
• Bonus: Knowledge of Capital IQ, ktMINE, and RoyaltyStat databases; experience with econometric/statistical analysis methods and tools (e.g., Stata); or experience with technical writing.
