Analyst, US Strategy (Charlotte) | CreditSights
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at CreditSights, located in Charlotte, NC. CreditSights provides award-winning, unbiased research on global credit markets, empowering clients to make informed investment decisions. This role supports the US strategy coverage effort by conducting macroeconomic analysis, monitoring credit fundamentals, and preparing research reports. This position contributes to delivering critical intelligence that helps clients navigate complex financial markets.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Contribute to data analysis and writing of research reports, including thematic research and regular publications.
• Data Management: Build, update, and maintain models and databases using public and proprietary data.
• Market Analysis: Interpret market technicals and perform relative value analysis across asset classes to inform portfolio recommendations.
• Monitoring: Monitor debt capital market conditions specifically across US investment grade, high yield, and broadly syndicated loans.
• Client Engagement: Prepare presentation materials and participate in meetings with an array of client types.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Educated to a bachelor’s degree level or equivalent, with knowledge of financial markets and experience analyzing capital markets.
• Experience: Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and comfort using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent.
• Skills: Strong numeracy, problem-solving, and writing skills, alongside strong written and verbal communication skills; must be highly organized with a methodical approach to work and excellent attention to detail.
• Bonus: 1-3 years of prior experience in a credit research, economics, investment banking, or debt capital markets role; a CFA charterholder or demonstrated progress toward attaining a CFA charter; degrees in STEM, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business; proficiency in Bloomberg and FactSet; hands-on Claude/GPT, Bloomberg API/BQL and/or Python experience; a passion for financial markets; capable of producing high-quality outputs under pressure and in a timely manner; a team player spirit and an enthusiasm for working collaboratively.
