Private Equity Investments Analyst (Co-Investments) | GCM Grosvenor

This role as a Private Equity Investments Analyst is essential for supporting all aspects of private equity investments, from initial due diligence to transaction execution and ongoing monitoring.

• Mission: To assist with all stages of private equity investment transactions, from screening and due diligence through execution and post-close monitoring.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Investment Due Diligence: Partner with the team to assist with investment transactions from start to finish, including screening opportunities, conducting comprehensive due diligence, preparing investment recommendations, and monitoring investments post-close.
• Financial Modeling: Build and modify models for investment program cash flow projection, fund cash flow and return analysis, and co-investment return and sensitivity analyses.
• Investment Documentation: Prepare investment memorandums along with due diligence findings and present to internal committees and clients as needed.
• Transaction Execution Support: Partner with legal counsel to review deal terms, negotiate, and execute investment transactions, while also facilitating the internal deal allocation and closing process.
• Portfolio Performance Reporting: Monitor and report on company and portfolio performance, and draft investor communications, including periodic updates on company/portfolio performance and facilitating necessary dialogue.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics with outstanding academic credentials.
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of professional experience in private equity, investment banking, or consulting/advisory.
• Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communications skills; strong financial modeling skills with knowledge of leveraged buyouts and private equity transactions; exceptional critical thinking, quantitative, and analytical skills; superior organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills; outstanding project management skills to manage multiple transactions under tight deadlines.
• Bonus: Ability to balance multiple concurrent projects and work both independently and as a productive member of project teams; a self-motivated, collaborative approach with high integrity and a dedicated work ethic.
