Investment Associate | Viridan Group

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at Viridan Group. The company is a rapidly growing developer, owner, and operator of utility-scale battery energy storage projects. This role supports the company’s expanding investment platform, focusing on crucial analysis and execution for energy storage projects across North America. You will join a collaborative and entrepreneurial work environment, contributing to the growth and management of the company’s energy storage asset portfolio.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Model: Build, maintain, and improve financial models for investment opportunities and project financings.
• Analyze: Perform investment underwriting and detailed financial analysis for energy storage projects.
• Coordinate: Coordinate due diligence efforts and manage deliverables from third-party consultants.
• Present: Prepare comprehensive investment memoranda and presentations for internal approval committees.
• Execute: Assist with transaction execution, financing activities, and monitor the financial performance of assets.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as finance, engineering, economics, mathematics, computer science, or data science. This is a mid-level role.
• Experience: A minimum of four years in investment banking, project finance, private equity, infrastructure investing, or a related field. Demonstrated strong financial modeling skills, including discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis and project finance modeling, are required.
• Skills: Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Bonus: A Master’s degree or other advanced education is preferred. Experience within the energy or infrastructure sector, along with familiarity with project finance debt structures and tax equity financing, is a plus.
