Manager, Fund Operations | Vista Equity Partners

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Vista Equity Partners, focusing on the essential operations of their private equity funds. Vista is a global technology investor specializing in enterprise software, managing a diversified portfolio of companies with a proprietary and systematic approach to value creation. This position is critical for supporting the build-out of processes and standards for managing buyout funds and overseeing all aspects of their operations. The role requires high visibility, accountability, and the ability to navigate high-pressure tasks and competing priorities in a deadline-oriented setting.

• Pay: $162000–$180000 yearly
• Team: Fund Operations team, collaborating with the Finance team, firm leaders, investment professionals, Legal, Compliance, and Investor Relations.
• Mission: This person will support the build out of processes and standards to manage Vista’s buyout funds and support all aspects of the funds’ operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Prepare key performance metrics and detailed data requests for standard reviews and various ad hoc requests.
• Fundraising Support: Assist fundraising efforts, including new products and external co-investments, by providing fund management aspects to the Investor Relations team.
• Credit Facility Management: Support credit facility operations and ensure ongoing compliance with credit agreements.
• Financial Modeling: Build models to analyze the portfolio, including scenario planning and maximizing internal rates of return (IRR).
• Investment Support: Support the Investment Committee, Fund leaders, and the broader deal team with closings of investment purchases, follow-on fundings, distributions, dispositions, and portfolio review processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting, preferably with advanced degrees or certifications, for a Manager-level role.
• Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in an analytical or financial role within the asset management industry, with demonstrated experience in quantitative analysis and financial modeling.
• Skills: Strong finance knowledge, excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and effective oral and written communication skills including presentation abilities.
• Bonus: Advanced degrees or certifications such as a Master’s, MBA, CFA, or ACA are strongly preferred.
