Programs and Operations Intern | Duet
The Tone:
This is a volunteer, remote internship at Duet, located in Los Angeles, CA. Duet is an online philanthropic platform that facilitates dignified, efficient, and personal aid to vulnerable families, specifically refugees in Greece and families affected by COVID-19 in LA. This role is essential for streamlining Duet’s international and domestic operations, ensuring seamless support for families and donors. As a 501(c)(3) registered charity with a team of over 20 recent graduates and students, Duet uses technology for social good and seeks dedicated individuals to contribute to its mission.

What You’ll Actually Do
• International Operations: Interface directly with on-the-ground operations in Lesvos and Athens.
• Local Coordination: Coordinate item pickups and speak with local partners to facilitate aid delivery.
• Donor Engagement: Keep donors up-to-date on the progress and impact of their contributions.
• Family Support: Onboard vulnerable families to the Duet platform.
• Process Optimization: Streamline international and domestic operations for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student or recent graduate with an interest in social good.
• Experience: Proven track record of detailed work and sustained effort; familiarity with detail-oriented processes and coordinating for multiple stakeholders; some experience with operations systems and processes or eagerness to learn.
• Skills: Initiative; ownership; organization; ability to work independently and as part of a team; creative thinking.
• Bonus: Excitement to engage in conversations with philanthropically-minded individuals.
