Managing Consultant – Corporate Finance – Transaction Advisory | BRG

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at BRG, with travel required up to 25%. This role is critical within the Corporate Finance – Transaction Advisory practice, designed to meet client and market demand by providing essential support for buy and sell side diligence engagements. The position focuses on articulating findings and recommendations around key financial and business issues in transactions, ensuring clients receive comprehensive insights into value drivers.

• Mission: Support client service teams in executing buy and sell side diligence engagements and assist in identifying issues for purchase price adjustments and potential deal structuring insights.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Support the day-to-day activities of BRG’s Corporate Finance –Transaction Advisory client service teams executing on buy and sell side diligence engagements.
• Lead: Lead the preparation of reports, written analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables, demonstrating balanced project delegation and supervision.
• Analyze: Utilize business, finance, accounting, and analytical skills to perform tasks including quality of earnings, financial trend analysis, working capital trending, and business plan assessments.
• Collaborate: Work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with internal experts, professionals from other firms, and client contacts to achieve engagement objectives.
• Develop: Participate in the growth of an entrepreneurial consulting practice by assisting in marketing, client pitches, and product and practice development.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelors or Masters degree equivalent in Business, Accounting/Finance, Management, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience: 6+ years of work experience, ideally within a consulting or professional services environment, with expertise in financial modeling and analysis.
• Skills: Financial statement review and reconciliations, quality of earnings, quality of net working capital, business and transactional performance, and strong problem-solving and project management skills.
• Bonus: MBA or CPA is a plus, along with CFA (or equivalent) or technical/GAAP accounting expertise.
