Analyst or Associate – Capstone Partners’ Financial Advisory Services, SSIB | Huntington National Bank

The Tone:

What You’ll Actually Do
• Model: Prepare, analyze, and develop financial models for historical and projected financial information, including three-statement models, cash flow projections, debt capacity analyses, merger models, and valuation analyses.
• Execute: Manage day-to-day process activities for M&A, capital raise, and liability management/restructuring transactions, ensuring strict deadlines are met.
• Document: Organize and prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches, and other essential presentations.
• Diligence: Lead the maintenance and execution of counterparty diligence activities central to various transactions.
• Interact: Build relationships and maintain consistent contact with clients, prospective clients, and professional advisors.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, with core domain knowledge in investment banking and special situations/corporate restructuring.
• Experience: Analyst candidates require 1+ years of investment banking experience, preferably involving special situations/corporate restructuring; Associate candidates require 3+ years of investment banking experience, including at least 2 years in special situation/corporate restructuring.
• Skills: Excellent analytical skills, proficiency in developing and maintaining financial models using Excel, strong verbal and written communication skills, and practical experience with special situations, restructuring, and bankruptcy transactions.
• Bonus: FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses, experience with Pitchbook and CapIQ, and willingness to travel for client engagements.
