The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Notion, located in San Francisco, CA. This role is crucial because the Corporate Finance team serves as a trusted advisor, informing and guiding critical C-level decisions through insightful analyses and thought partnership. The person in this role will have an immediate and significant impact on the company’s financial understanding and strategic direction.

• Team: Corporate Finance team, advising C-level leadership.
• Mission: This person will enhance C-level understanding of financial metrics, improve forecasting accuracy, and lead high-profile strategic projects to inform critical business decisions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Partner with Finance, Accounting, and cross-functional teams to generate and report 3-statement forecasts, driving monthly and quarterly management reporting including Budget vs Actuals analyses, dashboards, and Board materials.
• AI Modeling Innovation: Pioneer AI-augmented financial modeling by applying emerging AI tools, developing reusable Finance skills and automation workflows, and evolving static spreadsheet models into modular, AI-enabled systems.
• Process Management: Develop consistent processes for collecting capital expenditures, tax, and other key inputs, leading to more data-driven modeling and tighter cross-functional collaboration, especially in uncharted, high-impact areas.
• Capital Strategy Oversight: Oversee equity burn rate and shareholder pool tracking to ensure alignment with the company’s long-term capital strategy.
• Forecasting Evolution: Collaborate with Consolidations and Business teams to develop the long-range plan and evolve the forecasting process to significantly improve forecast accuracy.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Mid-Senior professional with a strong foundation in corporate finance, investment banking, or private equity.
• Experience: 6+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, and/or corporate finance, with a proven track record of building 3-statement operating models.
• Skills: Excellent financial modeling abilities, a strong analytical mindset, demonstrated intellectual curiosity, and effective problem-solving skills with an eagerness to improve current processes.
• Bonus: Prior experience managing Free Cash Flow using both direct and indirect methods, experience within a high-growth SaaS company, and familiarity with Netsuite, Workday, Zip, and planning tools.
