Associate – Infrastructure (Mega Fund) | Madison Hunt

The Tone:
This is a full-time investment role for an Associate at an established infrastructure platform, situated in New York. The platform operates as a global infrastructure fund, recently integrated into a leading global mega-fund, and is currently demonstrating robust market positioning through its strong, diversified portfolio and active fundraising for two multi-billion-dollar funds. This role is pivotal in supporting the New York team’s focus on core-plus and value-add investments across critical sectors such as digital infrastructure, energy transition, transport & logistics, and utilities. What You’ll Actually Do
• Evaluate Opportunities: Systematically assess core-plus and value-add investment opportunities across the digital infrastructure, energy transition, transport & logistics, utilities, and other infrastructure-related sectors.
• Conduct Due Diligence: Perform in-depth analysis of potential transactions, meticulously uncovering and understanding key investment considerations.
• Present Investment Cases: Clearly and comprehensively articulate transaction details and strategic rationale to the investment team, demonstrating a strong grasp of underlying value drivers.
• Support Transaction Execution: Actively contribute to all phases of deal execution, drawing upon prior investment banking and/or private equity experience.
• Apply Technical Expertise: Utilize a strong technical skill set to model, evaluate, and support complex financial and operational aspects of infrastructure investments.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early-career professional with a foundation in investment banking (M&A) and/or private equity.
• Experience: A minimum of two years in a relevant investment or advisory role, coupled with direct sector exposure to infrastructure, including areas like digital infrastructure, energy, transportation, services, or industrials.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to discuss transaction experience in depth, articulate key investment considerations, and apply a strong technical skill set to complex financial scenarios.
