What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Analysis: Build analyses and forecasts for large investment opportunities and strategic business decisions, presenting complex financial information to executives and non-financial personnel.
• Risk Identification: Prepare and analyze quarterly risk review analyses and presentations, identifying areas of risk within the company portfolio and recommending solutions.
• Financial Reporting & Forecasting: Assist in consolidating and analyzing financial statements, forecasts, and budgets, including coordinating and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual rolling forecasts and reporting on actuals vs. budgeted results.
• Business Improvement: Identify key data sources and utilize data-driven insights about important departmental metrics to improve business decisions and perform additional ad-hoc analysis on results.
• Executive Communication: Create effective PowerPoint presentations for Board meetings on a monthly and quarterly basis, and perform ad-hoc financial and operational analysis as required.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, with a fundamental and working knowledge of financial and accounting concepts.
• Experience: Internship to 4 years of professional experience in investment banking, private equity, strategy consulting, or corporate finance.
• Skills: High proficiency with PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and financial modeling; ability to work with and analyze large data sets; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to develop SQL queries for analyses and reporting.
