Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist | LHH

This position plays a key role in supporting company-wide financial planning, reporting, and strategic analysis, providing regular exposure to executive leadership, including the CFO. • Team: Lean, highly analytical FP&A team, reporting into FP&A leadership with regular exposure to executive leadership.
• Mission: Support company-wide financial planning, reporting, and strategic analysis to drive business understanding and improvement.
• Tech Stack: Excel (pivot tables, lookups, general modeling)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Manage budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting activities for the company.
• Variance Analysis: Conduct comprehensive variance analysis across key expense drivers, including payroll and utilities, and the full company P&L, providing root cause insights.
• Strategic Insights: Perform deep-dive analysis to understand underlying business trends and key drivers.
• Operational Support: Support monthly financial close processes and fulfill ad hoc requests from leadership.
• Process Enhancement: Improve and refine existing financial reporting processes through cross-functional collaboration with accounting and operations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career professional with core domain knowledge in analytical finance.
• Experience: 1–2 years of experience in FP&A, Big 4 accounting, investment banking, consulting, or similar analytical finance roles.
• Skills: Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and general modeling, alongside analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Bonus: High ownership, curiosity, strong interest in the business, and the ability to articulate a compelling “why” for business insights.
