Financial Analyst | Winter Park Resort
The Tone:
This is a full-time, year-round role at Winter Park Resort, located on-site in Winter Park, CO. Winter Park is the closest ski resort to Denver, offering easy access to 765,000 acres of public land for endless adventures. This position is central to driving informed decision-making across all resort operations, acting as a strategic business partner. The Financial Analyst will utilize financial modeling, economic trend analysis, and capital planning to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights for Resort Leadership. This ensures that the financial figures supporting every major decision are accurate, defensible, and readily usable.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategic Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to inform critical business decisions and actively shape the overall resort strategy, including monitoring economic trends to identify opportunities and risks for senior leadership.
• Advanced Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex, statistically grounded financial models that convert ambiguous business questions into confident, strategic recommendations essential for resort growth and operational efficiency.
• Cross-Departmental Business Partnership: Serve as a dedicated business partner to Supervisors, Managers, and Directors across various departments, supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes in close collaboration with the Finance Director.
• Data Integrity & Reporting Improvement: Collaborate closely with the accounting shared service team to ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely, and grounded in reliable data, while championing data integrity and training managers on financial tools.
• Capital Project Leadership: Lead the capital project management process, which is crucial for supporting the Resort’s capital strategy, and partner with the fixed asset team and project managers to ensure projects stay on track for timely completion.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, or other relevant experience is required.
• Experience: 2-5 years of experience specifically in financial analysis, business analysis, or statistical modeling.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; a strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights; skilled communication tailored for diverse audiences; high professional integrity with the capacity to work independently; and a highly organized, creative problem-solver who adapts to seasonal resort operations.
• Bonus: Prior experience in hospitality, resorts, theme parks, or other seasonal/demand-driven environments is preferred.
