Intern , Portfolio Strategy (Renewables & Flexible Power) | ENGIE North America Inc.

The Tone:
This is an internship at ENGIE North America Inc., located in a hybrid (in-office) setting. ENGIE North America is leading the Zero-Carbon Transition, developing energy that is renewable, efficient, and accessible. This role is crucial for supporting the Renewables & Flex Power growth strategy across North America and contributing to ENGIE’s global business planning process. The intern will play a key part in driving business decisions through strategic analysis and clear communication.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Temporary, Part-time (20-40 hours/week)
• Location: Hybrid (in-office)
• Pay: $22.50 – $25.50 USD hourly
• Team: Portfolio Strategy team within the Renewables & Flexible Power business unit
• Mission: Support Renewables & Flexible Power growth objectives by leading strategic projects, conducting market analysis, and developing executive-ready presentations to inform business decisions.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Canva (preferred), Adobe Creative Suite (preferred)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategize: Support the development and execution of ENGIE’s portfolio strategy, annual business planning, and investment review processes to achieve Renewables & Flexible Power growth.
• Analyze: Gather, analyze, and synthesize business, market, financial, and operational data to develop actionable insights and recommendations for leadership.
• Research: Conduct market and industry research, evaluate third-party data, monitor emerging trends, and communicate key findings to internal stakeholders.
• Communicate: Develop executive-ready presentations, business cases, briefing materials, and visual communications that clearly convey complex information to diverse audiences.
• Execute: Take ownership of assigned projects, identify opportunities for improvement, and independently drive deliverables to completion in a demanding work environment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a minimum second-year undergraduate or graduate degree with a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
• Experience: Experience performing quantitative analysis and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; strong business acumen and analytical capabilities; effective written, verbal, and presentation skills; strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Bonus: Experience with graphic design, data visualization, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar visual communication tools is preferred.
