Investment Banking Senior Analyst – Industrial Growth Products | William Blair

• Mission: Support new business development, transaction execution, and the delivery of investment banking products and services to clients and prospects.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Analysis: Execute extensive financial and valuation analyses for debt and equity, specifically for mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising transactions, developing varied analytical approaches.
• Financial Modeling: Construct detailed financial models to value clients and industries, applying core valuation methods like comparable companies, precedents, and discounted cash flow, and effectively synthesizing complex outcomes.
• Transaction Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation for both potential and live transactions, identifying potential deal issues and escalating concerns to team members.
• Client Presentations & Marketing: Draft comprehensive management presentations to highlight financial analysis and research results, and assist in creating proposals and marketing materials emphasizing William Blair’s advantages.
• Mentorship & Development: Provide training and mentorship to summer interns and less experienced Analysts, imparting best practices and investing in their ongoing development.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree required with a thorough understanding of accounting and finance.
• Experience: Prior investment banking experience required, with 2+ years of previous experience as an Analyst, or equivalent, strongly preferred.
• Skills: Strong analytical abilities, excellent mathematical, writing, verbal, and computer skills, ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and a thorough understanding of accounting and finance.
• Bonus: Ability to adapt to new tasks with little notice.
