IT Service Desk Intern | Bryan Health
The Tone:
This is an internship at Bryan Health, located in Lincoln, NE. Bryan Health is a 2,943-person organization dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services within the community. This IT Service Desk Intern role is designed to offer a student key insights and practical learning related to the inner workings of an IT support team in a healthcare setting. The intern will complete assigned projects and activities, assisting staff as requested, thereby gaining valuable professional experiences and knowledge while actively supporting Bryan Health’s core values.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Completes Projects: Execute and complete assigned projects and tasks to meet required deadlines throughout the internship.
• Tracks Progress: Monitor and report on the progress of assigned projects, promptly communicating any delays or conflicts that arise.
• Participates in Meetings: Attend and actively participate in team meetings and conference calls as directed by the department leader.
• Assists Staff: Provide support to the home department staff by assisting with projects and daily activities as requested by the leader.
• Develops Knowledge: Gain industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions, and apply classroom experiences to enhance projects and assigned work.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student with a high school diploma or equivalency required, currently enrolled with at least a 2nd year standing in an Associate’s degree program or a Junior standing in a Bachelor’s degree program.
• Experience: No specific prior years of experience are required for this internship role.
• Skills:
• Knowledge of department-specific tools, software, and hardware relevant to an IT Service Desk position.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and understand a wide variety of people and personalities in professional interactions.
• Capability to maintain strict confidentiality concerning sensitive information.
• Strong interpersonal skills, organizational ability, and a collaborative teamwork ethic to complete assigned work.
• Bonus: Previous experience in the assigned IT service desk area is preferred.
