Stadium Operations Intern | Charleston Battery

The Tone:
This is an internship at Charleston Battery, located in Charleston, SC. Charleston Battery operates as a competitive soccer club, and this role provides hands-on experience in managing the extensive daily and weekly stadium needs. Interns are integral to supporting the stadium manager, ensuring the stadium is impeccably prepared for various events and critical USL Championship matches throughout the season. The overarching purpose of this program is to develop future professionals, equipping them with the necessary skills and experience to transition seamlessly into stadium operations or other professional soccer roles within USL, MLS, or other relevant organizations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Stadium Setup and Cleanup: Assist comprehensively with stadium cleanup and set up, diligently following the stadium director’s plans to ensure the venue is event-ready during the week and on game days.
• Inventory Management: Support the stadium director in accurately maintaining inventory for all beverages, merchandise items, and essential maintenance and cleaning supplies.
• Stock Management: Actively assist in consistently stocking and replenishing bars and the merchandise store, ensuring they are prepared for all stadium events and match days.
• Game Day Operations: Execute established procedures and protocols set out by the stadium director to ensure seamless readiness of the stadium for each USL Championship match and special event.
• Operational Efficiency & Professionalism: Play a key role in reinforcing smooth workflow, high team professionalism, and morale by providing reliable assistance with daily operational duties, allowing staff to focus on high-level tasks.
