Project Management Project Intern (Real Estate & Facilities – AMS) | ByteDance
The Tone:
This is an internship at ByteDance, located across the America Region. This role offers a unique opportunity for an intern to support the lifecycle of office development projects, gaining hands-on experience in large-scale corporate real estate operations. You will contribute to impactful short-term projects and develop practical skills in a professional work environment.
The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person, America Region
• Pay: $25 hourly
• Team: Real Estate & Facilities (REF) team, supporting Project Managers
• Mission: To support the lifecycle of office development projects across the America Region, ensuring timely delivery and financial accountability.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Support the Project Management team in design analysis and technical review processes to align project requirements with company standards.
• Assist in tracking project schedules and monitoring budgets to ensure timely delivery and financial accountability.
• Coordinate the end-to-end payment process, including reviewing invoices, tracking change orders, and reconciling costs with internal finance systems.
• Act as a liaison between REF, various internal stakeholders, and external partners to drive project alignment and resolve potential bottlenecks.
• Maintain project dashboards and logs to provide real-time updates on project status, risks, and contingencies.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Project management, construction management, architecture, business, real estate, or a related field.
• Experience: None specified for minimum qualifications.
• Skills: Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; good time management, ability to multitask, and adaptability to shifting priorities; motivated to learn new tools and systems; self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and a growth-oriented mindset.
• Bonus: Prior internship or academic project experience in design, construction, or corporate real estate; familiarity with project management tools or software; exposure to construction industry terms and processes through coursework or internships.
