2027 Summer Internship Program – AMERS | BlackRock
The Tone:
This is a nine-week summer internship at BlackRock, offered across various locations in the Americas, including major hubs in the US and Canada. BlackRock is a leading global asset manager that leverages technology and strategic insights, including the thoughtful application of AI, to enhance decision-making, optimize operations, and deliver superior financial outcomes for a diverse client base. This program is meticulously designed to immerse students in a challenging, meaningful, and supportive professional environment, closely mirroring the responsibilities and learning experience of a full-time BlackRock Analyst.
The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Temporary, Seasonal (June through August)
• Location: In-person, Multiple US and Canada locations, including California, New York City, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington State, Washington DC, Montreal, and Toronto.
• Pay: $33–$56 hourly
• Team: Interns will be placed within various business areas such as Client & Product Functions, Corporate & Strategic Functions, Investments, Operations, Technology, or Analytics & Risk, contributing to their respective teams.
• Mission: To provide students with a robust internship experience that directly simulates the day-to-day role of a BlackRock Analyst, equipping them with practical skills and an understanding of the firm’s operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Participate: Engage in an intensive initial orientation that provides a comprehensive overview of BlackRock’s business, culture, and strategic priorities, including opportunities to learn directly from a number of senior leaders.
• Contribute: Assume substantive day-to-day responsibilities and tasks within your assigned team, actively contributing to team objectives and projects throughout the nine-week summer period, gaining practical industry experience.
• Develop: Receive targeted on-the-job training designed to build foundational skills and knowledge, replicating the learning curve and hands-on challenges encountered by full-time BlackRock Analysts.
• Network: Leverage extensive program opportunities, including a dedicated speaker series, a mentoring program, and various structured networking events, fostering connections with peers and professionals across BlackRock’s employee networks.
• Explore: Evaluate career paths within BlackRock by experiencing the firm’s culture and work, potentially leading to an application for the Full-Time Analyst Program upon successful completion of the internship.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or master’s student, irrespective of academic discipline.
• Experience: Must be on track to graduate between September 2027 and July 2028.
• Skills: Demonstrated capability to actively contribute to a professional team, eagerness to embrace and learn from on-the-job training, and the ability to apply independent thinking and sound judgment in work.
