The Tone:
This is an internship at Young Kim for Congress, located in Mission Viejo, CA, with a hybrid option available that also supports work from offices in Temecula. The campaign offers a program designed for high school and college students to gain direct, practical experience within a vibrant and active political environment. This role is crucial for assisting in the operations of a congressional election campaign, providing opportunities for interns to learn about the electoral process, effective voter engagement, and the specific mechanics of a political campaign. The program is dedicated to fostering personal growth, enhancing confidence in public speaking, and strengthening communication skills, preparing individuals with essential competencies for their future professional paths.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Campaign Support: Assist directly in the day-to-day operations and strategic management activities of a congressional political campaign.
• Community Engagement: Participate actively in various community outreach initiatives, representing the campaign to local residents and organizations.
• Voter Interaction: Engage with voters through direct contact and communication efforts to effectively increase overall voter participation and awareness.
• Event Coordination: Provide essential support for campaign events, ensuring smooth execution and effective interaction with attendees.
• Communications Management: Contribute to managing campaign communications, assisting in the dissemination of information to team members and the public.
• Voter Canvassing: Participate in canvassing efforts, directly engaging with voters to discuss campaign priorities and encourage civic participation.
