Primary Market Research Analyst Intern – 2026 | Blue Matter

The Tone:
This is an internship / early career role at Blue Matter, located in US offices including San Francisco, New York, and Boston. Blue Matter is a premier life sciences strategy consulting firm with 350+ team members, dedicated to helping clients develop and commercialize therapies that extend and improve human lives. This role is a 10-week, hands-on experience designed for new graduates to build deep expertise in primary market research while contributing to work that helps bring meaningful therapies to patients. Interns will receive structured training, real project experience, and dedicated mentorship, with a clear path to a full-time role for those who succeed.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Contribute to end-to-end project execution for client research studies, encompassing both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
• Develop: Create research materials, including discussion guides, surveys, status updates, and analysis plans for client engagements.
• Coordinate: Manage project timelines across internal teams, external vendors, and clients to ensure all projects remain on schedule.
• Analyze: Synthesize research findings into clear insights and assist with report development, including building report templates.
• Innovate: Explore and pilot emerging AI tools to transform market research workflows, and apply behavioral science principles to enhance research design.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree required; demonstrated interest in healthcare, life sciences, business, or behavioral science.
• Experience: Authorization to work in the United States; advanced degree or relevant internship/work experience is a plus.
• Skills: Strong critical thinking and analytical reasoning, clear written and verbal communication, ability to summarize large amounts of information, basic understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Slack, Zoom, and Google Drive.
