The Tone:
This is an internship at TikTok, primarily based in Los Angeles, CA, for a 2026 start. TikTok operates as the leading global destination for short-form mobile video, with a core mission to inspire creativity and bring joy to its diverse user base. This specific role supports the TikTok Shop US operation team, a group dedicated to building an e-commerce ecosystem that aims to bring discovery, inspiration, and joy back to shopping. The intern will engage in impactful short-term projects, gaining practical skills and real-world experience, directly contributing to scaling the “TikTokMadeMeBuyIt” phenomenon and pioneering content and creator commerce in the US.

• Mission: To help scale the #TikTokMadeMeBuyIt phenomenon and pioneer Content & Creator commerce in the US by supporting merchant and creator operations and campaign readiness.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Merchant Onboarding & Issue Resolution: Support Account Managers with merchant cold start processes, including product listing and store setup, and assist in diagnosing operational issues related to logistics, pricing, and content compliance.
• Campaign Coordination: Track and coordinate merchant preparations for critical platform campaigns, such as BFCM, focusing on inventory readiness, discount planning, and livestream scheduling.
• Market Insights: Conduct thorough market and competitor research to gather insights that will inform and enhance merchant growth strategies.
• Collaboration Management & Reporting: Help manage collaborations with creators and agencies, which includes tracking sample shipments and content output, and provide weekly reports on merchant performance and campaign readiness.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a closely related academic discipline. This role is designed for students seeking to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world commerce setting.
• Experience: Candidates must demonstrate a strong interest in the e-commerce landscape, the fashion industry, and the evolving creator economy. The position requires a commitment to at least a 3-month long internship period to gain sufficient experience.
• Skills: Proven problem-solving capabilities and excellent communication skills are essential, along with the ability to comfortably collaborate and work effectively within cross-functional teams. Proficiency in using data management tools such as Excel and Google Sheets is a core requirement for this role.
• Bonus: Prior internship or full-time professional experience within an e-commerce marketplace business or in a retail category management capacity. Valuable additional experience includes familiarity with the TikTok content ecosystem, creating or managing shoppable content, and facilitating brand-creator partnerships.
