This is a Part-Time Internship at Longfellow Communications, located in Downtown Portland, Maine. Longfellow Communications is a strategic communications and public affairs firm that helps organizations tell their stories, build relationships, and navigate complex communications challenges. This role offers an opportunity for a student, recent graduate, or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience across various areas of agency work. The intern will contribute to developing thoughtful, effective communications strategies that deliver results for clients across diverse industries.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Media Relations: Facilitate media outreach efforts and develop comprehensive media lists.
• Content Creation: Draft various communications materials, including press releases, blog posts, and social media content.
• Digital Support: Aid in social media content creation, scheduling, website updates, and digital communications efforts.
• Reporting & Research: Monitor news coverage, compile reports, and conduct research for client projects and new business opportunities.
• Project Coordination: Provide general administrative support, assist with event planning, and help prepare client presentations and reports.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Current college student, recent graduate, or early-career professional with a strong interest in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
• Experience: Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools; experience with Microsoft Office and online design tools such as Canva.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, detail-oriented and organized, ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, self-starter who works well independently and in a team.
