Restaurant Internship | Panda Restaurant Group

The Tone:
This is an in-person internship at Panda Restaurant Group, located inside our restaurants. Panda Restaurant Group is the largest family-owned American Chinese Restaurant concept in America, with close to 2,800 global locations, aiming to deliver exceptional dining experiences and inspire better lives. This role is crucial for gaining practical experience in restaurant operations and supporting the team’s mission to provide quality food, service, and ambiance.

The TL;DR

• Mission: This person supports restaurant operations by ensuring quality food preparation, excellent service, and a well-maintained ambiance while learning from industry professionals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations: Support store operations during shifts, ensuring food quality, service, and ambiance are maintained.
• Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of associates, delegating tasks and providing coaching for their growth and development.
• Inventory & Safety: Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper food safety and sanitation practices are followed.
• Process Improvement: Shadow restaurant managers and team members to understand day-to-day operations and provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Training: Successfully complete all assigned modules within the internship program.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student, currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field; sophomore and junior preferred.
• Experience: Available to work approximately June-August 2025 for 30-40 hours per week; willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Skills: Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and manage a team; excellent communication skills for providing clear direction and feedback; proactive and self-starting with an ability to work in a team environment.
• Bonus: Prior experience in the hospitality industry; student organization leadership experience; prior restaurant working hours and Food Safety card preferred.
