The Tone:
This is a support role at Benson’s Inc., a company focused on providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests, visitors, and employees. This position is fundamental to the daily operations of the Housekeeping department, directly assisting Room Attendants in maintaining the quality and readiness of guest accommodations. Your efforts are crucial in ensuring a seamless experience for hotel occupants and smooth operations for the team.
The TL;DR
• Role: Early Career
• Location: In-person
• Team: Housekeeping team, reporting to the housekeeping supervisor or Management.
• Mission: Support Room Attendants and maintain a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for all hotel occupants.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Supply Management: Ensure housekeeping carts are adequately stocked and deliver necessary supplies, including fresh linens and glasses, to Room Attendants.
• Waste & Laundry Handling: Collect and transport trash and other refuse to disposal sites, and move soiled linens and dirty glasses to the laundry.
• Room Readiness & Maintenance: Coordinate with Rooms Controller and Inspectors for special room preparations and submit maintenance tickets for unresolvable issues.
• Guest & Emergency Support: Respond promptly to guest requests, assisting directly or finding appropriate help, and be prepared to assist management during emergencies.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Others. Foundational understanding of hospitality operations and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Experience: No specific prior experience required.
• Skills: Thorough knowledge of hotel facilities, room locations, and emergency procedures; ability to safely handle and be exposed to chemical mixtures.
