Clinical Research Assistant | Care Access

The Tone:
This is an entry-level, on-site clinical position at Care Access, requiring regional travel. • Team: Reports to a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC)
• Mission: To support the clinical research process by assisting with participant recruitment, managing study procedures, and ensuring data integrity to advance medical breakthroughs for communities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Recruitment: Participate in and prepare materials for recruitment and pre-screening events, identifying and contacting potential participants via medical record review and phone screenings.
• Participant Management: Schedule participant visits, provide reminders, and obtain informed consent under the direction of the Clinical Research Coordinator.
• Clinical Procedures: Complete required visit procedures, collect, process, and ship specimens according to protocol under the direction of the CRC.
• Data and Records: Record data legibly and in real time on paper or e-source documents, assist with query resolution, and update internal trackers and online recruitment systems.
• Site Operations: Assist with general administrative tasks such as copying, scanning, and filing, maintain all site logs, and help with inventory and ordering equipment and supplies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Others. Experience in a clinical support role such as Medical Assistant, EMT, LPN, Clinical Research Assistant, or Phlebotomist, with foundational knowledge of medical and research terminology, and Good Clinical Practices.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent working experience in a relevant clinical support role. Required phlebotomy experience and proficiency.
• Skills: Bilingual in Spanish, excellent communication, strong organizational skills with attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bonus: Some clinical research experience. National phlebotomy or laboratory assistant certification specific to California, Louisiana, Washington, or Nevada for roles in those states.
