Bell – College Work Experience Program – Non Technical | The University of Texas at Arlington
The Tone:
This is an experiential internship opportunity with Bell, facilitated through The University of Texas at Arlington’s College Work Experience Program (CWEP). Located onsite at Bell, this program allows undergraduate students to gain real-world work skills directly relevant to their academic and career aspirations. As a UTA Student Worker, you will apply your knowledge to address the challenges involved in bringing rotorcraft products to market, collaborating with a dedicated team focused on innovation and continuous improvement. This program aligns with UTA’s Maverick Advantage, preparing students through hands-on learning experiences.
The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Part-time (up to 25 hours/week during spring and fall semesters, 12-hour minimum); Full-time (up to 40 hours/week during Spring, Summer, and Winter Breaks with supervisor approval). The standard work schedule for Bell employees is a 9/80, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. schedule.
• Location: In-person, Onsite at Bell
• Team: Commercial Business Operations, providing support to the Customer Experience Team, Sales Team, and Customer Service Engineering.
• Mission: Contribute to the operational support of rotorcraft products by coordinating documentation and directly resolving customer issues, while developing critical real-world business skills.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Technical Publication Coordination: Facilitate the release and manage the distribution of new and updated technical publications to Bell’s global fleet of aircraft operators.
• Customer Support and Issue Resolution: Serve as a direct point of contact for customers, addressing and resolving any issues they encounter with maintenance documentation.
• Cross-functional Team Assistance: Provide essential support to the Customer Experience Team, Sales Team, and Customer Service Engineering functions within Commercial Business Operations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An undergraduate student majoring in a College of Business field, classified as a Junior or Senior. Must be enrolled full-time at UTA, maintaining a minimum 3.0 GPA (12 credit hours for undergraduates).
• Experience: Demonstrated academic proficiency at the junior or senior level, suitable for non-technical business operations roles.
• Skills: Strong organizational abilities for managing technical publication distribution, effective communication and problem-solving skills for direct customer interaction, and a capability to provide support across multiple business teams.
• Program Requirements: Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR. Successful completion of a criminal background check and urine drug screen is required prior to starting. Students cannot hold other paid positions, on or off campus, without specific approval from the UTA Bell CWEP Administrative Team to avoid conflicts of interest.
