The role allows direct contribution to the firm’s expansion while supporting its core mission of improving clients’ financial health and operational efficiency, with an initial commitment of approximately 5 hours per week and potential for growth.

• Mission: This person will provide essential support to the firm’s accounting operations, helping to maintain accurate financial records, assist with administrative tasks, and directly contribute to client financial improvement.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Maintain accurate accounting records by assisting with general bookkeeping and precise data entry for various client financial transactions.
• Systematically organize and manage client financial documents, ensuring easy accessibility and compliance with firm standards.
• Execute thorough bank and credit card reconciliations to verify financial accuracy and resolve any identified discrepancies.
• Actively assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, which includes processing invoices, tracking payments, and managing client billing inquiries.
• Support month-end close activities and prepare detailed spreadsheets and comprehensive reports using Excel for financial analysis and client insights.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Seeking candidates who are currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field, indicating a foundational academic understanding.
• Experience: A basic understanding of fundamental accounting principles is a core requirement for this role. No prior professional experience working within an accounting firm is mandated, as comprehensive training will be provided to ensure success.
• Skills: Demonstrate strong attention to detail, crucial for maintaining accuracy in all financial and administrative tasks. Possess strong organizational skills for efficient management of documents, data, and workflows. Must have a reliable internet connection to facilitate effective remote work capabilities. Exhibit professional written and verbal communication skills for clear and effective interactions with team members and clients.
• Bonus: Familiarity or prior experience with QuickBooks software. Demonstrated proficiency or experience in using Excel for data management, spreadsheet creation, and reporting. Previous professional or internship experience in areas suchs as bookkeeping, administrative support, cashier services, banking operations, or customer service roles.
