Merchandise Assistant | Bealls, Inc.
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Bealls, Inc., located in Bradenton, FL. Bealls, Inc. is a financially strong, multi-billion-dollar retail organization with nearly 110 years of history, operating over 650 stores across 22 states under various brands and offering 50 exclusive brands. This role provides essential administrative and communicative support to the buying team, directly contributing to the retail business’s success and facilitating crucial vendor relationships.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Management: Ensure critical accuracy with data entry for purchase orders, items, pricing, and marketing materials.
• Order Processing: Create purchase orders on a daily basis.
• Cross-functional Communication: Serve as a liaison for the buying office, communicating directly with internal partners like marketing/ecommerce, compliance, logistics, GMM, and DMM.
• Vendor Relations: Maintain direct communication with outside vendors.
• Marketing Support: Assist the buyer with the marketing process for Bealls Stores, managing samples deadlines, order tracking, purchase order entry, and data input for weekly ads.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level role, requiring a High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Experience: No specific experience required, though previous retail store experience and administrative experience are preferred.
• Skills: Excellent organizational, time management, and written/verbal communication skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Bonus: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree with a retail focus; Prior retail store experience; Administrative experience.
