In-Store Shopper (Online Orders) | Whole Foods Market

What You’ll Actually Do
• Order Fulfillment: Efficiently and accurately prepare online customer orders for delivery or pickup using handheld technology and/or fixed devices, always maintaining a sense of urgency to meet schedule requirements.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure product and order accuracy through meticulous verification and rigorous quality control processes, ensuring items such as fresh produce, meats, and dairy meet expected standards.
• Customer Engagement: Learn and apply comprehensive product knowledge and customer service standards to assist with customer inquiries, provide store information, and maintain awareness of promotional events.
• Operational Support: Keep staging areas organized and free of clutter, efficiently handle in-store and online order returns and pickups, and maintain operational standards including safety and store security protocols.
• Regulatory Compliance: Comply with all government regulations, including essential age verification requirements for restricted items such as wine and beer, to ensure responsible service.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level role; sufficient English language proficiency is required to prepare and shop customer orders. Must be 18 years or older, with strong customer service, hospitality, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience: No prior retail experience is required. Adaptability to learn new technology-driven solutions and a willingness to cross-train to support other teams are important.
• Skills: Strong customer service; problem-solving; detail-orientation; multi-tasking; clear communication; team collaboration; adaptability to work in high-demand periods.
• Bonus: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. The ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is also preferred, especially during peak holiday seasons.
