What You’ll Actually Do
• Guest Service Excellence: Proactively interact with and serve guests, taking the initiative to deliver a wide range of services that ensure a memorable and unique dining experience.
• Service Coordination: Efficiently set tables, communicate effectively with the kitchen regarding guest needs, and accurately manage the menu by reading and visually verifying information.
• Operational Compliance: Consistently maintain a safe workplace by diligently cleaning work areas and supplies, and strictly adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Quality Assurance: Uphold Marriott International’s quality standards, ensuring every aspect of food and beverage service meets expectations for both guests and the business.
• Professional Representation: Always ensure a professional presentation through proper uniform, personal appearance, and clear, professional communications, making transactions feel part of the overall experience.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A non-management professional with a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, focused on providing exceptional food and beverage service.
• Experience: Less than 1 year of related work experience. No supervisory experience is required.
• Skills: Proactive guest service; Clear and effective communication with both guests and kitchen staff; Diligent attention to detail in service and cleanliness; Ability to uphold and follow established quality and procedural standards.
