• Team: The intern will support the firm’s day-to-day PR team, gaining exposure to client interactions and media strategy execution.
• Mission: To provide essential support for Jane Owen PR’s public relations efforts, assisting with media relations, content development, event coordination, and digital outreach to enhance client visibility in the entertainment sector.
• Tech Stack: Collaborative tools including email, video conferencing, and shared documents.

What You’ll Actually Do
Content Creation: Draft press materials and contribute to strategic communications, ensuring written content is clear, engaging, and precisely on-message for diverse audiences.
Media Relations Support: Conduct thorough research on relevant media outlets and talent, and diligently maintain comprehensive media contact lists to facilitate targeted outreach.
Reporting & Tracking: Assist with the distribution of press releases, systematically track media coverage, and prepare detailed briefing documents and recap reports to summarize campaign performance.
Event Coordination: Help coordinate logistical details for both virtual and live events, supporting the execution of memorable experiences and brand communications.
Digital Engagement: Support social media and digital outreach initiatives, and actively participate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative and impactful PR campaigns.

The Must-Haves
Background: Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, or a closely related field, demonstrating a foundational understanding of PR and media relations principles.
Experience: A demonstrated interest in the entertainment industry, celebrity culture, and event planning, with prior internship or project experience in PR or marketing considered a significant advantage.
Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, characterized by a professional and adaptable tone; exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Bonus: Familiarity with entertainment media outlets and key influencers, and comfort working effectively in a remote environment utilizing collaborative tools while taking initiative with limited supervision.
