Internship – Public Relations | Anderson Group Public Relations

The Tone:
This is a non-paid internship at Anderson Group Public Relations, located in Los Angeles. Anderson Group Public Relations is a world-renowned public relations and brand management firm with 30 employees in Los Angeles and New York. The firm specializes in diverse fields including television, film, music, fashion, corporate, sports, medical, non-profit, authors, consumer, beverage, lifestyle, special events, product launches, hospitality, and crisis management. This role offers significant hands-on experience for individuals interested in media relations, communication, and marketing, providing support for public relations strategies and content creation within a professional environment.

• Mission: Support the development and execution of public relations strategies, assist with content creation, and help maintain positive media and community relationships.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Development: Assist with new business development by identifying and researching potential new clients, then drafting email outreach.
• Content Creation: Draft pitches, client memos, and press opportunities for various purposes.
• Media Relations: Track client press coverage, pull media clips, and conduct industry-related research for online and print publications.
• Event and Influencer Engagement: Research and pitch clients to A-list events, and utilize social media platforms to identify rising influencers.
• Resource Management: Update and maintain digital press kits.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student with a strong interest in public relations and a desire to pursue a career in the field.
• Experience: Must be able to commit to 1-4 days a week between Monday and Friday for at least 2 months, working on-site in the Melrose office from 10:00am – 6:00pm, with an immediate start, for experience/college credit only.
• Skills: Strong writing, research, organizational, editing, and communication skills; self-starter, proactive, and resourceful; proficient in Microsoft Office; able to handle a fast-paced environment and take direction well.
• Bonus: A love for dogs, as the office has several small dogs; a willingness to work hard in a collaborative environment.
