Breakfast Attendant | Apsilon Hotels

This Breakfast Attendant position is critical in setting a positive tone for our guests’ day by ensuring the complimentary breakfast service is impeccably presented, well-stocked, and delivered with friendly and efficient service. The individual in this role directly contributes to guest satisfaction through diligent preparation, meticulous upkeep, and attentive interaction.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Breakfast Area Preparation: Prepare the dining and breakfast area according to operating standards, which includes thoroughly cleaning the space, properly arranging furniture, emptying trash receptacles, and ensuring all readiness tasks are complete before guests arrive.
• Service Operation and Guest Interaction: Handle the complete set-up and breakdown of the continental breakfast, make fresh coffee, stock food and drink items, and supply plastic ware and napkins. Greet and acknowledge guests as they arrive and depart, ensuring all receive excellent, fast, friendly, and efficient customer service, and proactively respond to their needs, special requests, and complaints.
• Cleanliness and Maintenance: Maintain the overall cleanliness of the breakfast area throughout operating hours by bussing and cleaning tables as needed. At the close of complimentary breakfast, perform a thorough cleaning and mopping of the entire area, disposing of all drinks, food, and supplies in accordance with operating standards and health codes.
• Equipment and Stock Management: Clean and properly store all equipment according to company standards. Receive supplies, accurately date and rotate stock, and complete and record inventory on designated sheets, following hotel operational procedures to ensure timely orders for items that are below par levels.
• Hotel Support: Assist with cleaning and maintaining other areas of the hotel as needed, contributing to the overall upkeep and operational efficiency of the property.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A foundational understanding of food service operations, enabling consistent delivery of service and maintenance standards.
• Experience: A minimum of one year of direct, related food service work experience, demonstrating proficiency in operational tasks.
• Skills: Proven ability to initiate and engage in conversations with guests, keen attention to detail for visually inspecting the area and correcting deficiencies, and practical knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
• Availability: Must be available to work a consistent schedule from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., including weekends and holidays, with a flexible work schedule to accommodate varying needs.
