Direct Support Professional | Action Behavior Centers – ABA Therapy for Autism

What You’ll Actually Do
• Therapy Execution: Follow individualized treatment plans and accurately collect simple session data.
• Child Engagement: Facilitate learning for children aged 18 months to 8 years through play, movement, reading, games, and hands-on activities.
• Active Participation: Maintain an active and engaged presence throughout therapy sessions with young children.
• Environment Management: Ensure a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment for all sessions.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively and collaboratively with a supportive team focused on helping kids grow and succeed, including occasionally supporting nearby clinics for coverage.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level professional with a high school diploma. Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience: No prior experience required; willingness to complete paid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 20 days of hire.
• Skills: Ability to maintain an active pace while working with young children, reliable attendance and punctuality, and a strong team mindset.
• Bonus: Previous experience in childcare roles such as nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, or tutor. Experience in mental health roles like QMHP or behavioral health technician, or as a camp counselor, paraprofessional, caregiver, or life skills assistant. A degree in Psychology, Child Development, Education, or any Health Sciences field.
