Intern | DSV – Global Transport and Logistics
The Tone:
This is an internship at DSV – Global Transport and Logistics, located in Spring, TX. DSV, founded in 1976 by ten independent hauliers, has grown to become the world’s 3rd largest supplier of global transport and logistics solutions, operating in over 80 countries with nearly 150,000 colleagues. This role offers students an opportunity to gain practical exposure to freight forwarding and supply chain logistics, applying educational knowledge to real-world projects. The intern will gain hands-on experience and build a solid foundation in supply chain management, contributing to DSV’s mission of adding value to customers’ entire supply chains.

• Mission: The intern will support shipment processing within the Air & Sea Division to help DSV add value to customers’ supply chains and ensure steady goods supply.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Support shipment processing within the Air & Sea Division, including assignments of varying complexity such as overland road freight, oversized cargo, and out-of-gauge shipments.
• Monitor: Monitor shipment progress and promptly escalate any transaction issues, delays, or irregularities to the Supervisor or Manager.
• Advise: Advise the department Supervisor or Manager of any transaction problems or irregularities as they arise.
• Adhere: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including the Code of Conduct, assigned work schedules, and attendance requirements.
• Contribute: Offer feedback on the department they have worked in and perform other duties as assigned.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student. Prefer High School Diploma or equivalent and +18 years old.
• Experience: Ability to apply educational knowledge towards work-related projects in a professional setting.
• Skills: Strong sense of accountability (finding pragmatic solutions), customer focus (monitoring customer expectations), collaboration (working with different cultures, teamwork), and result orientation (personal accountability).
• Bonus: Knowledge in freight forwarding and logistics, English fluency (written and spoken).
