The Tone:
This is an internship at Venture Starters, located remotely. Venture Starters is a public service platform and a fast-growing global startup community within the startup ecosystem, dedicated to supporting startups in solving world problems and connecting them with interns. This role is crucial for individuals seeking genuine exposure to the startup world, offering a front-row seat to the dynamics of founders, investors, and early-stage teams as ideas evolve into funded ventures.

The TL;DR

• Type: Part-time, Non-paid

• Mission: This person gains an insider’s view of startups and the startup ecosystem by observing pitch meetings, learning how companies are built and funded.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Attend: Attend eight (8) Venture Starters Free Pitch Zoom meetings, totaling 16 hours over 3-6 months.
• Observe: Observe startup founders pitching real companies and listen to investors sharing what they look for.
• Learn: Learn first-hand how ideas turn into funded startups and how early-stage teams form in real time.
• Engage: Engage with the startup community, founders, and investors during meetings if desired.
• Complete: Complete all 8 required sessions to receive a Certificate of Completion, eligible for résumé and LinkedIn.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Demonstrated interest in startups, entrepreneurship, or venture capital.
• Experience: Comfortable working independently and remotely.
• Skills: Ability to attend and actively participate in 2-hour Zoom sessions.
• Bonus: Previous experience with events or community involvement.
