Starlink Account Specialist (Government) | SpaceX

The Tone:

This Account Specialist role is critical for managing government customer lifecycles, ensuring seamless order processing and account activation for high-speed, low-latency internet services.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Account Operations: Act as the primary operational contact for assigned government accounts, tracking order timelines and flagging risks to revenue and activation goals.
• Compliance and Validation: Review and validate purchase orders, Letters of Authorization, and pricing documents to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Account Configuration: Create and configure customer accounts, service lines, hardware assignments, and billing structures, applying pricing, discounts, and terms according to contracts.
• Cross-functional Processing: Partner with Sales, Finance, Logistics, and Customer Support teams to process orders efficiently through to activation.
• Process Improvement & Accuracy: Maintain precise records in internal systems and trackers, and identify friction points to suggest scalable process and system improvements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level professional with a Bachelor’s degree in any field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience specifically in operations, customer support, or process coordination roles.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong attention to detail for process-driven work; skill in interpreting government contracts, pricing, and billing rules; proven ability for cross-functional collaboration under tight deadlines; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and capability for multi-tasking with accuracy and ownership.
• Bonus: Proficiency in software tools such as Excel, Salesforce, or Smartsheet; and the ability to effectively translate partner feedback into actionable improvements.
