What You’ll Actually Do
• Assignment: Pursue a specific assignment within one of Vanguard’s diverse investment teams, such as fixed income, global equity, strategic & quantitative equity, investment strategy, portfolio review, or risk management, tailored to your experiences, interests, and business needs.
• Learning: Gain a broad understanding of Vanguard’s mission-driven investment philosophy by experiencing a comprehensive approach to investing that employs a range of strategies across various asset classes.
• Project Leadership: Collaborate effectively with others and lead a project focused on distilling complex data to uncover valuable insights, culminating in a presentation of your findings to leadership that influences key decisions.
• Mentorship: Benefit from personalized coaching and mentorship through regular meetings with your department manager, internship program manager, assigned buddy, and key business leaders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An undergraduate student with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher is required. The program is open to all fields of study, with prior participants having pursued disciplines such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, and Computer Science.
• Experience: This program is for students seeking a 10-week, full-time, paid summer internship, starting late May 2027, designed to prepare them for a full-time position or rotational program upon successful completion.
• Skills: Demonstrated effective communication, analytical thinking, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential. Candidates must also exhibit adaptability, the ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and work both independently and as part of a team, alongside a passion for investment management.
