Luxury Resale Category Management Project Intern (TikTok Shop – Operation) | TikTok

The Tone:
This is an internship at TikTok, located in Los Angeles, CA. TikTok is a global organization focused on inspiring creativity and bringing joy through its leading short-form mobile video platform. This role is crucial for scaling the impact of content and creator commerce in the US, specifically within the exciting and fast-growing Luxury Resale category on TikTok Shop. As an intern, you will gain practical, real-world experience and contribute directly to the strategy and operations of a significant business initiative.

• Mission: This person will support the growth of the Luxury Resale category on TikTok Shop by assisting with strategy, merchant operations, and data-driven execution to enhance customer experience.
• Tech Stack: Excel, Google Sheets

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support the Luxury Resale category in developing and implementing product and livestream strategies, along with managing merchant operations on TikTok Shop.
• Assist in the onboarding and ramp-up of new merchants by executing incentive policies and driving adoption through merchant task mechanisms to ensure policy effectiveness.
• Help refine merchant operating methodologies, conduct merchant education through various outreach tools, and support their overall growth and development on the platform.
• Contribute to platform campaign operations by communicating key information for major promotional events, improving merchant participation, and resolving operational process issues.
• Monitor and analyze core business metrics to track progress against goals, identify timely issues, and collaborate with stakeholders on effective solutions.
• Conduct detailed category and merchant-level analysis across various aspects, including operations, platform strategy, assortment performance, and livestream/content effectiveness.
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams to advance business initiatives, enhance execution efficiency, and address operational challenges in a dynamic environment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field.
• Experience: A strong interest in e-commerce and the creator economy, with a preference for internship or full-time experience in an e-commerce business.
• Skills: Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, strong learning and execution abilities, stress resistance, and proven capabilities in coordination, resource integration, and project management.
• Bonus: Interest in luxury resale, fashion, handbags, watches, jewelry, collectibles, or related categories; proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and experience in business analysis or operational reporting.
