Intern, Non-Residential | Community Solutions, Inc. (CSI)

This is an Internship at Community Solutions, Inc. (CSI), located in New London, CT. CSI is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering self-reliance, responsibility, and accountability among at-risk and disadvantaged youth and adults. Since 1962, the organization has provided essential supervision, treatment, and comprehensive, individualized services. This internship plays a crucial role in supporting these efforts by placing qualified students into programs where they can contribute to helping clients interact more effectively within their communities and become productive citizens.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Participate in Program Activities: Engage directly in various established program activities within the New London AIC Program, supporting the overall organizational mission.
• Support Service Delivery: Assist in the provision of supervision, treatment, and comprehensive, individualized services for at-risk and disadvantaged youth and adults.
• Observe Program Operations: Gain practical understanding by observing the implementation of services and daily operations aimed at client self-reliance and accountability.
• Uphold Policies and Procedures: Adhere strictly to all Community Solutions Inc. and program-specific policies and procedures throughout the internship.
• Contribute to Client Development: Support initiatives designed to help clients interact more effectively within their communities and foster productive citizenship.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student, currently enrolled in college with a course of study in social service or the criminal justice system.
• Experience: Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage stressful situations, alongside excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience: Valid Driver’s license.
