• Mission: To develop and implement group therapy programming in accordance with patient treatment plans and goals for individuals with mental health and dual diagnosis substance use disorders.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Group Therapy Design: Develop and implement group therapy programming in accordance with patient treatment plans and goals.
• Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and establish specific treatment goals.
• Intervention Evaluation: Evaluate each patient’s progress and the effectiveness of group therapy interventions.
• Resource Provision: Provide patients with essential information regarding community resources to support their wellness and recovery.
• Collaborative Planning: Participate in planning processes and clinical programming based on evidence-based initiatives and best practices, working closely with the attending psychiatrist and other treatment team members.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Master’s Degree in the Creative Arts Therapies (music, dance, art, and drama), Occupational, Therapeutic Recreation, or other related human services field.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working in behavioral health, with internships applicable.
• Skills: Direct patient care through group therapies, patient assessment, treatment goal establishment, progress evaluation, and interdisciplinary collaboration within a treatment team.
• Bonus: Licenses are preferred but not required.
